To help you prepare for the upcoming VEDR Key Indication (KI) change on how safety performance is measured, we will be releasing the new KI Dashboard to customers in waves over the next week.
When it’s available to you, you’ll be able to access the KI Dashboard (New) under the VEDR section of your portal, listed directly below the current KI Dashboard.

Meet Bryson,
Bryson recently joined the GroundCloud team as an account executive and has fit in quite quickly, it feels as though he has been part of the team for years. Despite being a newbie, Bryson is already making wonderful changes! He has implemented in-person visits to customers as well as put other processes into place to help ensure customer success and satisfaction.
Outside of work, Bryson is a singer/songwriter and has even written his own book for music performance. We have yet to see him in action, but we will be sure to send you an invite when his next concert is announced!

As you may have heard, FedEx Ground (FXG) has recently announced they will be changing the Key Indicators (KIs) by which your safety performance is measured in 2023. To help you get ready for the change and become familiar with the new Driver Action KIs, we have begun development of a new KI Dashboard that is now available in the GroundCloud management portal.
The current iteration of the dashboard is intended to provide a glimpse into how scoring for the new KIs will be displayed. We will be working with FXG between now and when the new KIs go into effect to fine tune the calculations and display.

Please contact your station management with questions about when your contract(s) are scheduled to transition to the new KIs.

Mandatory GroundCloud App Update!
All customers are required to update the GroundCloud app to the latest version by February 25th in order to continue using internal navigation:
– 1.4.20 b966 for iOS
– 1.3.12 (or newer) for Android
If you do not update all your devices in time, upon attempting to launch internal navigation, you will get an error message and the navigation will close.
To determine the app version on a device, please read this article.
We will continue to push automatic app updates to all devices that are enrolled in the GroundCloud Mobile Device Management (MDM) system. If a device enrolled in the MDM is not updated, please open the ME MDM app and click on the App Catalog to manually update the GroundCloud app.
Devices that are not managed by our MDM can simply update the GroundCloud app as usual.
Updating devices that are running old versions of the GroundCloud App is VITAL to continue using navigation services. If you have devices that are having difficulty receiving updates, please contact GroundCloud Support.

A typical day for a Fleet Manager consists of many things and no two days are alike.

Tip of the day.
It’s a best practice for CSPs to have ALL your drivers log in to the GroundCloud app! Even if a driver is not using GroundCloud while out on route, it is still crucial for them to be logged in to ensure smooth operation of their contractor’s business and making the life of AOs/ BCs much easier.
Drivers’ logging into the app has many benefits for a CSP:
– Drivers don’t miss the ongoing safety training and remain compliant at all times
– Drivers clock in and clock out for accurate timekeeping
– Pre-trip inspections are triggered
– Drivers’ metrics and location status are tracked
– Data on driver performance becomes available

Nikki was the 10th employee at GroundCloud! And now we have over 50 team members and continue to grow! As controller, she oversees the accounting processes, ensures billing runs smoothly, and leads the Billing and Accounting Team to help support the growing needs of our customers.
Nikki has a bright personality and is always the first to crack a joke in meetings. Nikki has two daughters and is remarkably handy, she dabbles in various activities such as woodworking and has even built her own canoe!

The Announcements feature included with GroundCloud Pro allows you to send important messages and videos to your entire fleet or individual drivers. Messages are delivered to the GroundCloud Driver app, so they can be viewed on a personal device or company tablet.
Now you can easily communicate with your whole team or select team members via video messages. Send birthday wishes, info about today’s dispatch, whatever you like! You can even see which drivers have seen the announcement and the ones that have not.

Are you dispatching your routes in GroundCloud?
It’s important to dispatch your routes everyday after sort has been completed in order to have the most optimized route for your drivers. If you do not dispatch, each route will refresh with FCC every 15 minutes. This will put stops back onto routes that were transferred, reset any reordered routes, and frequently change the stop order for drivers.
Dispatch can be done in seconds. Simply go to the Routes tab, select your route, and click Dispatch “Go” at the top of the page.

Let us introduce you to Michelle!
Most of you have spoken to our sales executive Michelle at least once (possibly quite a few times). We can confirm that her personality absolutely matches her beauty. It’s impossible to have a conversation with Michelle without a smile on your face. She is fantastic at onboarding new customers and teaching them how to use GroundCloud. She is so passionate about her work and wants every customer to love GroundCloud as much as she does.
There is a tremendous amount of camaraderie between the GroundCloud team and sometimes we joke about Michelle’s frequent battles with her computer (always in good fun of course). So, if she can learn the GroundCloud system, you can too!
The team here appreciates Michelle’s optimism and positive attitude, plus we can always count on her honesty to keep us in line. Her love for the team is mutual and we are so lucky to get to work with her everyday.

Do you use iPads managed by GroundCloud? If so, make sure they have been updated to our new remote management system. This is required to be performed on all devices BEFORE April 1st.
Note: any devices sent to our office after Fall 2021 are already enrolled in this new platform and no further action is needed.
You can determine if a device is in our new system by looking for the ME MDM app on the homescreen. If a device does not have the ME MDM app, simply go into the iPad Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPad > Erase All Content and Settings (and Keep Data Plan if prompted), then when it is done restarting, select “Set Up Manually.” For more detailed instructions on how to enroll your devices, use this link.
We have upgraded our management system to open the door for even more features that will improve the connection between your GroundCloud account and tablets. The upgraded MDM (mobile device management) functions similarly to the current/legacy MDM. Tablets can be sent remote updates, locked down for driver use, and unlocked for manager use.
The new GroundCloud MDM also comes with upgrades to several key features:
– Mobile Asset Tracking (Pro users only)
– Remote updates are faster and more reliable
– Remote screen sharing with GroundCloud Support
– Improved location services
– Automatic app updates

The Mobile Asset Tracking feature included with GroundCloud Pro allows you to track your devices that are managed by GroundCloud. It provides information such as customized device name, serial number, app version, and login history of the device.
You can easily determine the tablet a driver is using and see which drivers used it previously.

Seth defines success as being reliable and always striving to be the person that people can depend on. He previously worked at FedEx before becoming a part of the GroundCloud team. Although he enjoyed getting to know contractors in the terminal he used to work at, Seth says that working at GroundCloud and getting to talk to contractors from all over the country has been a really great experience.
You may have noticed that Seth is quite fast with problem solving, and it’s not just at work! He can solve a Rubik’s Cube in 30 seconds! When he is not working on his expert troubleshooting skills, he usually spends his spare time outside playing disc golf or going for a bike ride.

Melissa is known for her bubbly personality and having all the answers at her fingertips. New App Release Feature! 📲
Our newest iOS app release saves each driver’s settings! Starting with version 1.4.19, settings are saved based on driver profiles regardless of the device used. Drivers no longer need to spend time configuring the app settings each time they log into a different iPad and you can forget all about the frequent questions regarding app preferences. Sweet!

Vehicle Reminders added to Pro!
Vehicle Reminders are designed to help you stay on top of your fleet’s various maintenance and non-maintenance needs. This will enable you to use recurring reminders to generate preventative maintenance schedules for routine services and create one-time reminders for unscheduled maintenance or regular non-maintenance activities.
If you are a GroundCloud Pro user, you will see the new Vehicle Reminders page on your account under the Fleet Management section of the GroundCloud portal. A detailed walkthrough of this feature can be found in our knowledge base. It should be noted this new page operates separately from the legacy Maintenance Reminders page, although both will remain accessible.

Announcing the new GroundCloud MDM for all customers! 📱
The upgraded MDM (mobile device management) functions similarly to the current/legacy MDM. Tablets can be sent remote updates, locked down for driver use, and unlocked for manager use.
The new GroundCloud MDM also comes with upgrades to several key features:
– Remote updates are faster and more reliable
– Remote screen sharing with GroundCloud Support
– Improved location services
– GroundCloud Lockscreen with device specific serial number and asset information
– Apps can be updated from the ME MDM app (a call to Support is no longer required every time an app needs an update)

🚨New MMR Form Available🚨
The new Monthly Maintenance Report form is now available in GroundCloud!
A new upload is not required if you have previously uploaded an MMR report. Simply select the date 9/30/2022 from the drop down menu to generate the report as always.
If you have not previously uploaded a MMR form, the page will ask you to “Choose File.”
You can find the MGBA-355 form in your MyGroundBiz account and use the search bar to locate the MMR Form. You can then download the blank form and upload it into GroundCloud.
The previous MMR report version of 11/17/2020 is still available if needed.

Plenty of Pro features to cover – this week, it’s the enhanced Driver Schedule! Manage driver shifts, time off, and route assignments all on one combined schedule. Copy a schedule from a previous week, or create your own from scratch. Schedules can be created weeks or months in advance, are visible to drivers from the Driver App, and integrate seamlessly with Timecards, Time-Off Requests, and route assignments. Having issues with inaccurate speed violations? If you’re operating in an area where speed limits have changed or mapping data is limited, some roads may default to 25mph speed limit. This can result in more speed violations shown on your Route Map. A new option has been added to the Settings page that allows you to ignore the 25mph speed limits which can be used to reduce the number of speed tags in these areas.

For this Friday’s Feature, we have a new way to optimize your stop locations! Stop mapping just got even more accurate with the addition of Door Location updates. When you update a stop, you can input not only where to park, but also the best location for the package to be dropped off or picked up (available with driver app version 1.4.15). To make it easier for you to know the mileage of each of the vehicles in your fleet, GroundCloud has added mileage to the Vehicles page on your groundcloud.io portal! The Vehicles page provides a summary of all the vehicles in your fleet, now including the last reported mileage on the vehicle. Reminder to delete your old Fleet Manager accounts! In reference to Fleet Manager roles, each role grants permission to access different pages of the management portal. Make sure your current Fleet Managers have the appropriate roles selected, and departing managers have their roles removed.
